Hurley Mathew "Butch" French Jr., age 70 of Manchester, TN passed away June 23, 2017 in Nashville, TN. Mr. French was born February 16, 1947 in Memphis, TN.Mr. French worked many years as an Auto Body Technician and retired from Joe Neubert Collision Center in Knoxville, TN. A fan of Elvis Presley, he enjoyed writing and singing songs. He will be remembered as an artist and a gambler and as a social enthusiast and an animal lover. He loved bowling and fishing, and was an avid golfer.Mr. French was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Loraine Martin-French; his father, Hurley Mathew French Sr; his mother, Mildred Mae Rushing French Carpenter; step-father, Lee Carpenter; sisters, Alice Warner and Marie “Maggie” Eggleston; and brothers, David French, Harry “Pete” French and Billy “Buck” French.Mr. French is survived by his children, Larry French and Paul (Kelly) French, both of Madisonville, KY, Steve (Brandi) French of Kansas City, MO, Jason Roberts of Wood River, IL and Priscilla French of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Betty Taber of Paducah, KY and brother, Robert “Boober” French of Memphis, TN; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced when they become available.
