Linda Janeway

Linda Folk Janeway, age 72 of Sewanee, TN passed away March 20, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born in New Orleans, LA to Lt. Col. Henry and Helen (Abbott) Folk, she spent most of her childhood in Pensacola, FL where her brother, Mike Folk, still resides.Linda graduated Queens College in 1965 and went on to get her Masters of Education from MTSU. She retired as librarian and teacher at Franklin County High School with over 40 years of service in education. She received the Algernon Sidney Sullivan Award for excellence of character and service to humanity, which spoke of her disposition all through life. Her heart was filled with love, and her actions derived from that love.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John L. Janeway, IV.She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Melisa; and grandchildren Jared and Brittany.A memorial service will be conducted at 1 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at All Saints Chapel in Sewanee, 735 University Avenue, Sewanee, TN 37383 .The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation be made to your favorite charity..
