Margaret Dewease

Margaret Jane Carrick Dewease, age 79 of Madison, TN passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Ms. Dewease was born September 28, 1935 in Nashville, TN to Jessie Brent and Myrtle Darnell Davis.She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy in life. She was a devout Christian, reading her Bible daily and attending church her entire life. When she was unable to attend church later in life, her "Recliner Ministry" was still serving the Lord, encouraging people and selling cookbooks for the church. She will be remembered for an amazing sense of humor, her love of cooking, listening to Christian music and the special relationship she had with her "Little Big Man".She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, L.Z., Sr. and Jesse Lavergne Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Mattie Carrick Quirk; son, Sam Carrick; grandchildren, Meghan (Josh) Lockwood, Mariah and Savannah Carrick; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Ledger Lockwood.A memorial service will be held at her home for the last 18 years, Cumberland View Towers at 1201 Cheyenne Blvd. in Madison, TN 37115. The service will be at 2 P.M., Sunday, August 2, 2015 and Rev.
