A memorial service to celebrate the life of Peter Stephan Thomas was held at Highland Park Church on June 7, 2016.Pete was born in Columbus, Ohio on Dec. 14, 1960 and passed away on May 31, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee, his adopted and beloved city.Pete grew up in Elyria, Ohio where he learned to love The Three Stooges, The Little Rascals, Indian Guides, the out of doors, "Old School" rock, playing ice hockey, NASCAR and grilling out. Pete also picked up a work ethic that remained with him for the rest of his life. Dedicated and committed, he was happiest when he was working.Although Tennessee was his adopted state he remained a life-long fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.Gregarious and always upbeat, his smile and generous nature endeared him to friends and strangers, alike.Dearest and closest to his heart were his daughters and grandchildren. He took a special pride in them and their activities, and his love was evident whenever he spoke of them.Pete is survived by his loving, long-time companion, Robin Cochrane; his children Tiffany Heiing and Brittany Berkowitz; grandchildren Connor, Asher, Braylee and Saylor; sister Tamorah Thomas and brother Matt Thomas; mother and step-father Joan and Ted Machock; step-brothers and sisters Rebecca, Rick, Karen, Michael, Susanne and Maureen.
