Robert Stier

Robert E. Stier, 52, of Nashville, TN passed away suddenly at 6:26 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Rob was born in Lynn, MA on October 27th 1963 and is the son of Rita Stier and the late Edward Stier. Before moving to Tennessee, he resided in Lynnfield, MA and later Salem, NH where he started his family. He was a graduate of North Shore Regional Vocational High School in 1981. Rob worked in the electronics industry for many years in Massachusetts and New Hampshire before moving to Tennessee and working in the hotel industry. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, mild manner and love of music, both classic rock and country. He attended over 100 concerts and met many famous musicians in his travels. He loved walking the beach in Kennebunkport, Maine and spending time at his family cottage in Wakefield, NH. Rob is survived by his mother, Rita; two beautiful teenage daughters, Erica and Erin; his twin sister, Joanne Davis; sister, Carol Roy and her husband Tim; brother, Ron Stier and his wife Audrey; sister, Lynda Stier; nieces, Christie Cole, Amanda Cole and Melissa Stier; nephew, Eric Stier; his former wife, Theva Stier; his dear friend, Kevin Curley; and numerous loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Rob is preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Stier of Lynnfield, MA; grandparents, Gerda and Edward Stier of Lynn, MA and Frederick and Rita Carlson of Lynnfield, MA. Rob was well liked by everyone that met him and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A wake will be held on Sunday December 13th at Mackey Funeral Home 128 S. Main Street Route 114, Middleton, MA from 2 – 3 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 3 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
