Sara Boyd

Sara Flake Boyd, age 91 of Ashland City, TN passed away August 2, 2016. She was born May 1, 1925 in Henderson County, TN.Sara attended public schools in Henderson and Davidson Counties. She graduated from West High School in Nashville, TN. Sara was a gracious and devoted Mother and housewife for her entire married life.She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomie and Maxine Flake.She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edward Bush Boyd; brother, Edwin Bruce Flake of Ashland City, TN; her children, Marsha Robertson (Paul Morris), Susan B. Laux and Ernest B. Boyd; and grandchildren, Sarah and Catherine Laux.A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Belmont United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time.In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Harbison Fellowship Class at Belmont UMC or to your favorite charity.
