Audrey Kelly

Audrey Jean Howell Kelly, age 77, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville TN.  She was born July 11, 1946, in Columbia TN, to Samuel Howell and Ella Pearl Kover (Veach).  Audrey is survived by two daughters and one nephew, Sharon Crague (Tommy), Karen Kelly and Dakota Emler.  Also survived by two granddaughters and four great-granddaughters, Amie Turnage (Tim), Ryleigh and Paisley, Shelby Renner (Matt), Iris and Vivien.  She was the oldest of 5 sisters and 3 brothers.  She had many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her mother, father and grandparents.

Audrey (Mama) was a special soul and loved by all who knew her.  She retired from the Accounting industry where she worked for many years until the age of 75.  She loved watching football and basketball, tools, yard equipment, working in her yard, chickens, roosters, swinging on her porch swing, reminiscing, collecting all the things she and/or her children touched over the years and eating anything sweet. She was a great supporter of her children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events throughout their childhoods.  We were all her pride and joy. 

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Enjoy every minute of your lives.  Don’t dwell on the past.  Keep your good memories in your heart and smile often when one crosses your mind.  I loved every minute with my babies, granddaughter, Dakota and Amie’s gifts to me, my great-granddaughters.  I do not regret any of my life.  Only that it is too short! I hope that I have not disappointed any of you.  You are all my pride and joy.  My legacy.  You are my most prized belongings, not possessions but, my source of joy and happiness.
