Bethany Michelle Pinkerton

Bethany Michelle “Beth” Fly Pinkerton, longtime resident of Nashville, entered suddenly into eternal peace January 22, 2025, just days before her 52nd birthday. 

 A free spirit, compassionate and kind-hearted, Beth chose a career caring for people after earning a degree in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. She served the community for many years as a social worker with the Department of Children’s Services. 

In her personal life, Beth loved her family, and was very proud of her son, Lucas. Beth also loved animals, and kept a menagerie of pets. Beth is survived by her son Lucas C. Pinkerton, of Trenton, TN, and many friends and extended family. 

Beth was preceded in death by her mother Linda Patterson Fly, formerly of Columbia, TN, and her father, Shelton Fly, formerly of Jackson, TN. A private memorial service will be held by Beth’s family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Beth’s name to the Nashville Humane Association.
