Charles P. Jackson, IIIAge 66, passed away Monday, March 21, 2017. Kim was born October 6, 1950 to Charles P. Jackson, Jr. and Frances Horn Jackson, both of Nashville. He graduated from David Lipscomb High School, obtained his B.A. in English from David Lipscomb University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee.He made a successful career practicing law in Chattanooga and Nashville, followed by a pursuit of business interests in West Palm Beach, Fl., London, and Switzerland. He was a life-long student of literature, especially poetry and biography, and his love of books defined him more than any other traits except his joy of friends and life's abundant gifts.He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Jackson, of Sarasota, Florida, sister Linda Rainey and her husband Jerry of Brentwood, brother David and his wife Leslie of Brentwood, nieces Cayce Rainey Burklow of Brentwood and Brooke Rainey Morgan of Nashville, Frances Elise Jackson of Tucson, Arizona, Zena Hay Jackson of Starkville, Mississippi, and Charles Wyatt Jackson of Oxford, Mississippi, and loyal friends Dr. Dennis Loyd and Allen Doty of Nashville, and Robert J. Sudderth of Charleston, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Cora Mathews Horn Fund for Families via the Nashville Community Foundation.
