Clarence "Sam" Sampson
Passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday March 19, 2024. Sam was born on February 10, 1943 to Lorenzo and Hazel (Ward). He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jacquline. As well as his children David (Krista) Sampson of Mt. Juliet TN, Janie Hamblin (Bruce) Christmas of Three Rivers MI, Clarence Darryl (Brenda) Lebanon TN, Dale of Antioch TN, Danny of Hermitage TN and Larry of Somerset KY.
SISTERS: Virginia Bake of Lincolnton GA, Wilma Jean Gilbert (Mannie) of Jacksonville AR, and Judy Johnson of Hermitage TN
GRANDCHILDREN: Lindsey, Alivya, Landon, Logan, Victoria, Jolene, Devin, Mike, Mathew, Dale Jr., Wayne, Josh, Cody, Hassa, and Jonathan.
IN-LAWS: Alice Mullins, Robert Mullins, Frank Mullins, Patrick Mullins, all of Okeechobee FL and Lynda Mc Fadden of Westmorland TN
And many other family and friends.
HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY:
Siblings - Earl, Ervine, Cecil, Tex, Willard(Esther Musselman), Dow (Alice Marshal), Mary Taylor, Alice Lambert (Gene), and Norma Lee Roop(Milford), and Father -in-Law Francis Mullins.
Sam was a loving husband, father, and the worlds best Pa-paw. He was a transmission mechanic by trade. He hated to sit still and loved to tinker. He especially loved planting his garden every spring, making sure to always plant tomatoes. His grandkids were the light of his life. He fought long and hard with every adversity thrown at him over the years. He never gave up and would not go down without a fight. He will always be a positive inspiration to his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 1004 Woodridge Drive, Mt. Juliet Tn 37122. Services begin at 5:00 pm with potluck to follow.
