Glenn Perry Hamilton, 56, of Bangham, passed away October, 12, at Vanderbilt Medical Center due to complications from a short illness. He was born in 1958 to Ivan E. and Nell L. Hamilton in Tell City, IN.Perry spent many years as a manager of several hotels in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana. He held degrees in Religion from Emmanuel College and Business Administration from Brewton-Parker College and Massey College of Business. He was also an ordained minister of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He had a wide variety of interests including travel, genealogy, collecting Carnival Glass and gardening. He was an accomplished artist in clay sculpture, drawing and painting. He also enjoyed crafts of any type.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lolita Hollars, Bonnie Singleton and Deborah Hoskinson; nieces, Michel Hollars, Malita Singleton and Kelly Singleton; and sisters-in-law, Sherry Hamilton and Suzetta Hamilton.He is survived by his partner of 19 years, Erin Clark, and brothers, Ivan (Patty), Stanley (Louise), and Beco (Raven) Hamilton. He is also survived by nieces, Gretchen Hollars, Scarlett Budzilek, Rachel Bass, Emilee Hamilton and Tama Eldridge; nephews James Hollars, Beco ‘Breeze' Hamilton III, Ivan Scott Hamilton and Lee Singleton; and brother-in-law, Gary Hollars.Perry's wishes were to be cremated and to forgo a funeral service. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
