Howard Pettus

Howard F. Pettus, age 92 of Clarksville, TN passed away July 6, 2017. He was born March 7, 1925 in Frenchman Bayou, AK to the late James Henry Pettus and the former Oscie K. Waterman.Mr. Pettus joined the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and worked for Thompson and Green as master mechanic.Mr. Pettus was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Johnnie Pettus and son, James Pettus.He is survived by children, Patricia (Byron) Dumas and John (Jean) Pettus; grandchildren, Bryan, Jason, Sherah, Michael, Jana and Nikki Pettus, and Jennifer and Jonathan Dumas; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Jackson, Asher, James and Cooper Pettus.A funeral service will be conducted at 2 P.M., Monday, July 10, 2017 at Nashville First United Pentecostal Church. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial with military honors will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
