Imogene Levodis “Dot” Poteet, age 96, passed away in Pekin, IL on May 6, in Pekin, with her son by her side. Born July 11, 1921 to Russell and Edna Lowry in Hamilton, OH, she lived most of her life in the Hamilton-Fairfield area OH, and more recently in Morton-Pekin area in IL.Mrs. Poteet retired from Champion Paper Co. where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and enjoyed her family and playing cards with friends.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur Myers Wade; second husband, Ivon Poteet; brother, Ernest Lowry; and Step-daughter, Debra Poteet.She is survived by her children, Wesley Wade (Marilyn) of Franklin, TN and Patricia Wagner (Gary) of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Sarah Wade Holman of Franklin, TN, Dr. Betsey Wade Wagener of Tucson, AZ, Russ Wade of Nashville, TN, Krista Wagner Edwards of Mesa, AZ and David Wagner of Lake Worth, FL; and eight great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, OH at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to UAF-Skin Cancer Institute, 102 Oxford Drive, Franklin, TN 37064.
