Joan Johnson

Joan Treptau Johnson, 78, of Nashville Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 27, 1945 to Edgar and Artie Treptau.

Joan attended college at Michigan Christian College where she earned an Associates of Liberal Arts degree. She had a strong work ethic and dedicated many years as an office administrator for the Bridgestone tire company.

On July 10, 1965, Joan married Thomas D. Johnson. They shared 58 years of marriage filled with love and cherished memories.

A woman of faith, Joan was a member of the Donelson church of Christ.  She possessed servant's heart and exemplified God's love through serving and helping others.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Artie Treptau. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Tom Johnson; their daughter, Becky (Paul) Johnson Huber; and extended family that she adored dearly including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Donelson church of Christ located at 2706 Old Lebanon Rd., Nashville, TN, 37214. The visitation will take place from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed through the Donelson church of Christ website,as well as,  on YouTube and Facebook.
