John Barren

John Richard Barren, 63, of Cheektowaga, NY went to his heavenly home on November, 22nd, 2015 after succumbing to complications from heart disease while at Veteran's hospital in Nashville, TN. He was under V.A. Hospice care for the past week prior to his death, and left us while peacefully in his sleep. John was born on May 29, 1952 in West Seneca, NY.After serving in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974, being stationed in South Korea, John returned to his favorite interests such as tennis, music, art, movies and fishing. His faith in Jesus Christ sustained him to the end. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Heaven is indeed richer because of this one good soul.The loving son of John and Marion Barren who preceded him in death, he is survived by his siblings, Mike & Cindy Barren, Larry Barron and Sherrie, Jeff and Kathi Barren Ashcroft, and Susan Barren and Steve. He also leaves a niece, Carrie; nephews, Michael and Adam; four great-nieces and two great-nephews; and good friends, Sharon Champagne and Ben Steinsholt.A private service will be held at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, Tennessee.
