John Lewis, Jr.

John Edison Lewis, Jr passed away on October 8th, 2022.  He was born on May 9th, 1941 to the late John E. Lewis Sr. and Lillian Crawford Lewis in Alderson West Virginia.

The Lewis family moved to Detroit, Michigan when John was at a young age.   He graduated from the Metro Detroit County Schools.  While in Detroit he met and married Deborah Mullins Lewis. Through this union they had four boys.  John and Deborah moved to Nashville, TN in 1975.

John worked at Temco for 17+ years as a tool and die setter.  After leaving Temco he worked at Vanderbilt Medical Center where retired in 2008 after 20+ years as the Supervisor over the floor techs.

He was a member of Fellowship Together Church.

Preceding him in death were his two brothers:  Wayne and William Lewis.  Two sons, John E. Lewis III (Noodle) and Anthony Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Deborah J. Lewis, Two sons William Lewis (Karissa),  Damon Lewis(Angela) all of Nashville.

Sisters: Sandy Lewis Woodall and Brenda Lewis Thomas of Detroit, Michigan.  Sister in Laws: Wanda Ross, Deborah Thompson both of Detroit, Michigan and Sheila Thompson of Nashville, TN. And a host of Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private, family Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
