John Leonard Sheeley, 75, passed away at home on November 4, 2022, with his beloved wife and pets, Jake and Bonnie, by his side. He was born January 28,1947, in Paris, Tennessee to Leonard and Nancy Sheeley. While he was born in Paris, he spent most of his adult life in the Nashville Area. He for many years he worked as a tool and die maker for Aladdin Industries.
His family and friends were the things that were most precious to him. He loved the neighborhood in which he lived, and his neighbors called him the "gentle giant." He always had a positive attitude, loved to laugh, and looked at life as the glass always being half-full. He was an avid amateur ham radio operator; making contacts across the globe. As years went by, many of those contacts became close friends.
He was loved by many. He will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Alania, daughter, Joy (Brad) Warrington, grandchildren, Cooper, Owen, Ava, Davis, and Leah Warrington, sister, Susan (Harley) Patterson, nephew Jimmy (Amy) Patterson, niece, Katy (Steve) Moore, and brother-in-law, Marshall Baker.
A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family to be held sometime in 2023.
Nashville Cremation Center is honored to be entrusted with handling Mr. Sheeley's arrangements. Please visit his tribute page to leave a thoughtful note for the family.
