Mary Ruth Allen, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, as she had hoped, in Smyrna, Tennessee on Saturday, February 9, 2019. She was born June 18, 1936 in Morrison, Tennessee.Mrs. Allen was a beloved mother and "Gammy". She put God first, then her family and friends.She is survived by her only daughter, Lisa Mayhew of Smyrna, TN; Lisa's husband, Thomas Mayhew; and grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Hope.Funeral services for Mary Ruth will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Bellevue Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
