Mary Mcgee

Mary Anna Bledsoe McGee, age 97 of Greenbrier, TN, went to be with her Lord after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born November 25, 1920 in Giles County, TN, the daughter of Jesse Bledsoe and Pearl Coggins Bledsoe.For many years she was a hairdresser on West End Ave. in Nashville and after she had her family she was a sales clerk at Harvey’s Department Store. When she was young she loved to travel. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, growing flowers and feeding the birds. Most of all she loved the Lord and helping others and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Fred McGee; sister, Elizabeth Shackleford; brothers, Almus Bledsoe & John Bledsoe; and half-sister, Ella Lee Cathcart.She is survived by her son and his wife, Chris & Robyn McGee of Ridgetop, TN; her daughter and her husband, Mary Anna & Michael Miller of Lebanon, TN; five grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at the Bradshaw Baptist Church Cemetery, 2187 Center Point Rd, Pulaski, TN 38478 on Friday, June 15, 12 Noon with Pastor Dwight Bledsoe officiating.
