My name is John and I'm Mary's grandson through her daughter, Nancy, and her son-in-law, Don. First, I would like to thank the people who put this ceremony together so that we could all be here today: Helen, Henry, my mother, Nancy, and the members of this church. Thank you. I want to say a few words about my grandmother, or as all her grandchildren affectionately call her, "Gramma." Gramma, to put it truthfully, spoiled the hell out of her grandchildren. With love of course, but really in every way. Spoiled us with attention, with birthday cards, graduation cards, holiday cards, gifts, hugs and kisses. Gramma was born to be a grandmother. She’s like a superhero among mere mortal grandmothers. Don't believe me, just ask any one of her grandchildren: Hank, Emily, Jack, Tom and Sam. Each of us has our own unique relationship with Gramma that is chock-full of love.
