Mary Taylor

Mary Ann Read (Harvey) Taylor passed away unexpectedly on 7/13/2022 in Nashville, TN.  She was 73 years old.  Born on 10/8/1948 in Pleasant View, TN to Margaret Knight Read and Edward L. Read, Mary Ann never met a stranger.  She was fast friends with everyone she met and made every effort to help any and everyone.  Mary Ann was also very good at making people laugh.  She was known as a great Southern cook especially for her delicious biscuits.

Mary Ann’s early years were spent in Bordeaux and she graduated from Cumberland High School in 1966.  For the last 10 years of her work career, Mary Ann worked as a Medical Records Clerk for Home Healthcare of Middle Tennessee before retiring.

While Mary Ann remained active, the death of her husband David SE Taylor was a real loss for her.  Her family grieves her passing but also takes comfort knowing that David and Mary Ann are together once again.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Alicia Harvey-Vetrone (and wife, Cindi Vetrone) and son, Kenny Joe Harvey (Kendall Gonyea).  She is also survived by Dennis Joe Harvey and brothers, Harold Read (Sally Read) and Kenneth Read (Debbie Read) and brother-in-law, Phillip Green.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Coachella Valley; 74020 Alessandro Drive Suite A; Palm Desert, CA  92260
