Michael Lee "Phat Kat" Woodward, age 29 of Smyrna, TN passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was born August 25, 1985 in Toledo, OH to Lee and Tammie Woodward."Phat Kat" as he was affectionately known, was a graduate of Blackman High School, where he participated in football and wrestling. He played baseball in the Smyrna and Donelson Leagues as well.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Diana Cochrane. He is survived by his daughter, Leila; step-daughter, Haley “Hayleybug”; his parents, Lee and Tammie Woodward; sister, Chelsie Woodward; grandmother, Lucia Marroquin; grandfather, Larry Woodward; and endless aunts, uncles and cousins.A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the New Beginnings Southern Methodist Church in Bellevue. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 and from 12 PM until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.Memorial donations may be made to Leila's College Fund, c/o Lee or Tammie Woodward.
