Patricia Ross

Patricia Gearty Ross, age 54 of Nashville, TN passed away unexpectedly November 26, 2016 at her home. She was born May 13, 1962 in Long Branch, NJ to Robert and Mary Jo Belanger Gearty.Patty, as she was known to family and friends, spent her early years in the North Jersey Shore area, where she was an active participant in youth sports, Girl Scouts and the 4-H Club.After graduating from Holy Cross School and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, both in Rumson, NJ, Patty attended Paul Smith’s College in Saranac Lake, NY, obtaining degrees in both hotel and restaurant management. She was also a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles.Most of Patty’s working career was spent with the Marriott Corporation in Boston, MA, New York City, NY, Tarrytown, NY, and Southern California. In Nashville, she practiced her baking skills at Opryland and Publix Markets.Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Gearty.Patty is survived by her husband, John of Nashville; father, Robert P. Gearty Sr. of Enosburgh, VT; brothers, Robert P. (Susan) Gearty Jr. of Oakhurst, NJ and Michael J. (Deborah) Gearty of Sierra Vista, AZ; four nieces and nephews, Alicia, Sean, Brian and Kelly; many family members and friends.A memorial service will be held at a later date and arrangements will be announced as they become available.
