Raymond Bruce Killingbeck of Spring Hill, Tennessee, was born in Michigan City, Indiana on April 16, 1948 to Robert Budd Killingbeck and Alice Essie (Clarke) Killingbeck. Following a sudden stroke on July 10, he passed from this life into eternity at 6:01pm on July 11, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 76, surrounded by his wife, daughter, and son. He has joined his mom and dad; brothers, Brian and Kevin; and son, Mark. Ray was married for time and all eternity to his wife, Donna Kay (O’Niones) Killingbeck on June 17, 1978, in the Washington, DC temple in Kensington, Maryland. Ray is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Leanne Haynes, her wife, Rebecca, grandsons Gabriel and Garrett, great-grandchildren, Ruby and Kane; son-in-law, Jon Alter; his son, Seth Killingbeck, his wife, Gretchen, and grandchildren, Kensington and Clark; and his siblings, David, Barry, and Kathy. He earned his living as an engineer but devoted his life to his family and his discipleship of Jesus Christ. Ray passed away with his “Official Dictionary of Sarcasm” lying next to his Bible—the latter slightly more worn. He enjoyed sharing his wit and humor with everyone around him, practiced daily small acts of kindness and selfless service, greeted and thanked every veteran he encountered, and served as an example of dedication and devotion to the love of his life until his last breath in mortality. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spring Hill, Tennessee (2998 Commonwealth Drive). In lieu of sending flowers, Ray would want you to take a moment to serve a neighbor, donate blood, or share a kind word with a family member, friend, acquaintance, or complete stranger.
