Rena Johnson

Rena Dee Cain Johnson, age 45 of Antioch, TN departed Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Rena was born on December 1, 1970 in Miami, Florida to Arthur Howard Cain, Sr. and the former Vera Mae Ash.Rena was a member of Antioch Mission Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, FL. She graduated from Miami-Dade Community College in 1991. On April 4, 1997, she married the love of her life, Robert Carlton Johnson. During her early years, she worked at Dillard's in Westland Mall, Hialeah, FL and then began her career in healthcare at Prime Care Medical in Miami. After moving to Nashville, TN, she followed her love of music to a job at EMI. She most recently worked with Carrier Express prior to her death. She will long be remembered for her kindness and benevolence, her love of music and the piano, and watching movies.Rena was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith; brother, Curtis; in-laws, Nathaniel, Jr. and Marin.She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Robert Carlton Johnson; sisters, Vera, Jacqulyn (Bretford), Debra, Evelyn (Curtis) and Antionette; brothers, Johnny (Emma) Arthur, Jr., Richard (Christie), Andrew (Christine), and Thomas (Monique); in-laws, Michael, Vicki (Sebastian), Wanda (Alan) and Katrina (Basil). A host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins of the Ash, Davis, Williams, McCoy, Gunn and Smith Families; and special friend, Lashawn Tavernier.A celebration of Rena's life will be conducted at 1 P.M., Saturday, January 16, 2016 from the Born Again Church, 858 West Trinity Lane, Nashville, TN 37207 with Elder Harold L. Hockett officiating and Bishop Horace E.
