Ronald Adkins

Ronald Wayne Adkins, 61, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away suddenly, Thursday, September, 8, 2016. Ron was born May 15, 1955 in Xenia, Ohio to John and Josephine Fyffe Adkins.On June, 2, 1978 he married his high school sweetheart Tanya Long. Ron was employed at the State of Tennessee for more than thirty years as head of the Printing & Media Services division. He enjoyed his work and was beloved by all that knew him during his three decades of service. Ron was above all a family man known as Dad or Papaw. He spent every moment of his life working to provide for his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is truly irreplaceable and will be forever missed.Ron was preceded in death by his father, John Adkins and his brother, Danny Adkins, both of Fairborn, OH.Ron is survived by his wife, Tanya Adkins; his mother, Josephine Adkins of Fairborn, OH; two sons, John Adkins and Ronnie Adkins, Jr., both of Smyrna, TN; three daughters, Tabitha and her husband, Brian Maxwell, Jessi Adkins and her fiancé, Corey Odle, Kaylin and her husband Tony Dalton, all of Smyrna, TN; five grandchildren, Michael, Keith, and Kevin Maxwell, Anabelle and Arthur Dalton, all of Smyrna TN; his brother, Douglas (Shirley) Adkins; and sister, Donna (Charles) Keeton of Fairborn, OH.Memorial services will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Old Rock School Park in Smyrna.
