Sue Nichols

Sue H. Nichols was born August 6, 1939 in Mitchell, TN to the parents of Anna P. (Briley) Hurt and Richard T. Hurt. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Kathryne L. Austin, Zenobia M. Austin and James R. Hurt. She is survived by children Carol B. Nichols and Chad K. Nichols and sister A. Rebecca Crunk.Sue started her career with the Baptist Sunday School Board, later working at Federal Chemical Company and Power Equipment Company, later working at Commerce Union Bank, Bank of America where she spent 20 years at First American Bank (Regions Bank) when she retired in 1995.Sue was a member of Parkway Baptist Church where she had served as Director of the 7 year old department, a member of the choir and co-chaired the renovation of the sanctuary.Sue loved her friends, gardening, music, working crossword puzzles, antiquing and art shows. She always took the time and had a listening ear to those who were experiencing problems. She wanted to make a difference in their lives.A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alive Hospice or charity of your choice.
