Susan Massey Mccall

Susan Laurinda Massey McCall was born on September 29th, 1952 in Chattanooga, Tennessee
and died December 30, 2022 in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Laurie is preceded in death by her two sons, Max III and Massey. She is survived by her
daughters Rachel McCall Carr and Catherine McCall (Joshua) Jackson. She was a beloved
Mimi to her grandchildren; Elizabeth Massey Jackson, Rebecca Anne Jackson, Kate Elizabeth
Roberts, Max David Jackson, and Carolyn Grey Carr.
She attended Girls Preparatory School, Georgetown College, Tusculum College, and Lincoln
Memorial University.
She taught elementary school in Hamilton County, Tennessee as well as in Walker County,
Georgia.
Laurie embodied the quintessential classic Southern lady through her style and charm, she was
never without pearls and red lipstick.
Active in the community, she belonged to DAR, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Guild,
Kappa Kappa Iota educational sorority, Kappa Delta Sorority and Cookeville First United
Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Cookeville First United Methodist Church on January 15th
from 2-4.
