It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Thomas Gross, Jr., 56, of Equality, Alabama, passed away on November 13, 2024. Thomas was born November 20, 1967, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to father Thomas Gross, Sr. and mother Bonita Kintz (née Yost). Tom was predeceased by his father.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jennifer Baskerville; his mother, Bonita Kintz; his children, Laura Gross, Danielle Thall (husband Brandon), and Kevin Gross (fiancé Laurel Barnasevitch); grandson, Benjamin Thall; sisters, Joy Rodak and Julie Weirich (husband John); aunt, Betsy Theune; nieces and nephew, Christopher Rodak, Bella Rodak, Gabrielle Weirich, and Grace Weirich; mother-in-law, Carol Clark; brother-in-law, Scott Clark (partner Jeff Wilson); beloved family dogs, Duke and Ellie; extended family, including Elizabeth Baskerville Alford (husband John) and Allison Baskerville Corbin (husband Jason) and their families, and John Baskerville; along with friends and valued colleagues.
Tom grew up in Pennsylvania. He graduated from East Stroudsburg High School and Bloomsburg University. For the past eight years, Tom worked for Transamerica, as a financial advisor and manager. In life, Tom enjoyed days spent on the lake and in the outdoors; woodworking, particularly designing and crafting furniture; and Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football.
Tom was loved by family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.
The family intends to remember and give thanks for Tom’s life in private observances. No public service is planned at this time.
