Tommy Kuykendall

Tommy Keith Kuykendall (Tom), age 82, passed away January 16, 2023. Tom was born October 16, 1940 in Ft. Payne, Alabama. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, James Curtis and Sarah Pluma Kuykendall, and his wife, Betty Lou Hall Kuykendall. He is survived by his children, Richard Curtis Kuykendall of Decatur, GA and Valerie Susan Kuykendall (Joe Uselton) of Ashland City, TN; Three grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth Kuykendall, Sarah Makayla Webb, and James Andrew “Drew” Thomas Webb, and one great-grandson, Brayden Thomas Campbell.

Tom was born and raised in Ft. Payne, Alabama. He met the love of his life, Betty Lou Hall, at Auburn University and they married June 27th, 1963. He and his family moved throughout the southern United States; Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas and finally ending in Nashville, Tennessee in 1991. He had an extensive 60-year career as an Account Executive in the insurance industry (work comp) from 1963 until his death. Tom enjoyed activities with the Wesley Forum of Brentwood United Methodist Church, and hunting deer and turkey as a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was a huge fan of the Tennessee Titans and the Auburn Tigers, as well as the Boston Red Sox.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until time of service.
