Vernon Maurice Chatman

Vernon M Chatman Jr., 54, of Springfield, Tennessee passed away on December 26, 2024 in Nashville, Tn. He was born June 1, 1970 to Vernon Chatman Sr. and Dorothy Louise Gore Chatman.

Bubba as he was known to immediate family and chicken man to just about everybody else. He absolutely loved to grill, cut up and joke around.

He loved NASCAR. He enjoyed challenging auto body work and took every opportunity to try his hand at it. Over the years, he had the opportunity to travel all over the US driving a truck before he came back home to stay.

Vernon was preceded in death by both parents, Brothers, Jimmy and Jeff Chatman, nephew Duke Vietenheimer and his niece Jessica Blair.

He is survived by his sisters Jamie (Joel) Blair, Judy (Steve) Nielsen, Jane Pickett and numerous nieces and nephews. I want to include his friends who helped see after him and take care of him. They know who they are but without them his time here would have been much shorter.
