Zachary Riggs

Zachary Kevin Riggs came bouncing into this world as a bundle of joy on February 21, 1995. He tragically left this world at 6:59 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 due to injuries from a car accident.

Zachary was loved by all who knew him. He was the most kind, compassionate, humorous, loving person you could ever meet. He was a beautiful son and a perfect husband. Zach was baptized at the age of six at Franklin Community Church, Franklin, TN. Zach loved dancing, video games, Lord of the Rings, and all things Game of Thrones. He also loved helping and serving other people. He always put the needs of others ahead of himself. He also loved serving in Honduras with his church family. He was an accomplished scuba diver with over 100 documented dives.

Zachary married the love of his life, Margie (Gray) Riggs on November 13, 2021. Their love was beautiful and will be everlasting.

Zachary leaves behind a loving family that includes his beloved wife, Margie Riggs (Nashville, TN); his wonderful dog and companion, Viola; mom and dad, Kevin and Misty Riggs (Franklin, TN); sister Katherine Box (Columbia, TN), grandfather (Pa) Kelly Coppinger (Thompson Station, TN) and Dr. Ken and Carolyn Riggs (Hopkinsville, KY); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Scott and Diana Gray (Nashville, TN); brothers-in-law Robert Scott Gray (Galloway, New Jersey) and Patrick Gray (Denver, CO); sister-in-law, Haley Gray-Hancuch (Washington, DC); one niece and three nephews. Zach also leaves behind many close friends whom he loved dearly.

There will be a memorial service for Zach on Sunday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 6501 Pennywell Drive, Nashville, TN 37205.
