Carmine Blaylock

Carmine West "Midge" Blaylock, age 82 of Old Hickory, TN passed away peacefully on August 25, 2017. She was born on July 31, 1935 in Old Hickory to Buford Edgar West and the former Mattie Volera Thomason."Midge" graduated from DuPont High in 1953. Midge had a successful career with Associates Capital and spent a lot of time with her family after retiring. She was wonderful mother to her children and a loving friend to everyone. She will be missed by her family and friends. Midge was a lifetime Christian and is now at peace with her Lord in heaven. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13.Midge was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; sisters, Barbara Johnston and Carleen Carter; and brother, George A. West. She is survived by her children, Mike Goins, Debra Payne and Penny Elizabeth Terry; brothers, Wallace West and Gary (Janice) West; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.There will be a private family memorial and graveside service at the Methodist Church in Hustburg, TN. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Alive Hospice and her caregivers.
