David Wayne Smith, age 68 of Nashville, TN, formerly of Williamston, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Mr. Smith was born August 3, 1947 in Brooms, West Virginia to Robert Edward Smith, Sr. and Lucille Buella Bunch Smith.He is survived by his children, John Christopher Smith & wife and Steven Michael Smith & wife, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Heather Marie Day & husband of Williamston, South Carolina, Ashley Dawn Smith and fiance’ of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Sarah Kathryn Smith and fiance’ of Anderson, South Carolina; brother, Robert Edward Smith, Jr. of Williamston, SC; grandchildren, Taylor(13), Brandon(13), Hailey(9), Cameron (10), Karleigh(2), Miracle(1 Month) and Georgia(1 Month) of South Carolina; Krysten(29), Lilly(5), Jim(28), Tiffany(27), Nick(26), Christopher(22) and Zakary(10) of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Madison(7) and Matthew(3 Months) of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service with military honors was conducted at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC. Committal with a testimony reading followed at 12 p.m.
