Marshall Fallwell, Jr.

Marshall Leigh Fallwell, Jr., age 71 of Nashville, died at 11:20 P.M., August 10, 2015. He was born September 8, 1943 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Marshall L Fallwell, Sr. and Frances Priscilla (Baker) Fallwell.He attended Florence State College and Vanderbilt University as a Lily Peter Scholar and Fellow in English Literature. While pursuing his education, he was a freelance writer and photographer, taught at Vanderbilt University, and coordinated music jamborees. Since 1985, he has owned Fallwell Estate Sales in Nashville, specializing in personal property and estate sales with particular expertise in rare books, art, and antiques.Marshall was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Edwin Francis Fallwell.He is survived by his brother, Thomas Claude (Susan) Fallwell; sister, Jeanne Claire Davis; niece, Elizabeth Fallwell Grinstead; nephews, Edwin Marshall Fallwell and Thomas Anthony Davis.Services will be private and memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice at 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or at alivehospice.org.
