Robert Jackson, Sr.

Robert Anthony Jackson, Sr., age 73 of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. He was born May 11, 1942 in Nashville, TN to William Freeman, Sr. and Pansy Biggs Jackson.Mr. Jackson grew up in White House, TN and was an electrician by trade, working many years as a member of IBEW 429. He will long be remembered for his love of family and friends. He enjoyed playing music, fishing and raising chickens.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Jackson, Jr. and Joseph Jackson; and sister, Patsy Belcher.He is survived by his children, Robert (Pam) Jackson, Jr., Anne (Jimmy) Collard, Philip Edward (Cindal) Jackson and Mary Ellen (Wayne) Brown; sister, Jean Winstead; grandchildren, Lucus Brown, Leah Brown, Leslie Jackson, Samantha Elder, and Jaden Collard; and great-grandchild, Triton.A memorial service will be held at 12 P.M., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Slayden Emmanuel Church, 1000 McFall Street, Slayden, TN with Pastor James Green officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
