William Sykes

William Patrick Sykes, age 62 of Portland, TN passed away Monday August 24, 2015 in Portland. Mr. Sykes was born March 22, 1953 in Nashville, TN to Leslie and Pauline Robinson Sykes.He worked for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and also as a truck driver for Pyles Transport.He is survived by his wife, Sharon Sykes; children, DeAnna Stauber, John Sykes, Lori Spoor and Brian Spoor, Jr.; grandchildren, Zachary Hopkins, Jessica Hopkins, Aaliyah Sykes, Alissa Sykes, John Douglas Sykes, Jr., Brooklyn Sykes and Lauren Stauber; sister, Carolyn Holliday; and family friends, Mike Lee, Carol Taylor, Christine DeBoisbriand-Spoor and Evon Glasgow.Interment will be in Cato, NY at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
